Happy Birthday, Edmund

Happy Birthday, little man.  As usual, when we call him little man (or any term of endearment) he responds, “No!  Me diddle Dendun.”  So, little Edmund is now three.  Which means that he’s spent two thirds of his life living in a campervan.

To him, our lifestyle is just the way life is.  Lately, he’s taken to saying suddenly, “Dis our home, Mama, dis our home.”  The campervan is home.  It’s the only home he remembers.

Sometimes a little one needs a sleep - especially after another long day at Mt Hotham ski resort.

Our little man has turned three.  And his favourite part about his lifestyle?  Having mum, dad, brother and sisters all the time … and the animals.  His current favourites are “memus” and “dangroos”.

Travelling Australia in a campervan since 2009 with our four children aged 4, 7, 10, and 11. We are a family living on the road. Stopping to work in rural and remote towns as we need more money, we love this lifestyle. The four kids are homeschooled as we work our way slowly around Australia.
